Chen Hao who is born in May 1976, a professor at Jiangsu Normal University and a Ph.D. from Fudan University, is currently the deputy director of the Technology Transfer Center of Jiangsu Normal University. He has served as deputy director and office director of the Jiangsu Key Laboratory of Advanced Laser Materials and Devices and assistant to the dean of School of Physics and Electronic Engineering, Jiangsu Normal University. He also served as secretary of the Working Group of the Advanced Laser Technology and Emerging Industry Collaborative Innovation Center of Jiangsu Province, secretary of the Jiangsu Laser Engineering and Technology Advantage Discipline Construction Project, and director of the Jiangsu Composite Materials Society. He was a major member of the “Technology Innovation Team” of the Organization Department of Jiangsu Province in 2013 and the “Excellent Technology Innovation Team of Colleges and Universities” of the Jiangsu Provincial Education Department in 2013.

The main areas of his research include: solid-state lasers, fiber lasers and their application in medical and industrial fields, and new white LED lighting technology and application of optical functional materials. In the past 5 years, he has hosted 2 National Natural Science Funds, a key research and development project in Xuzhou and a key research and development project in Jiangsu. As the responsible person of the participating units, he presided one military project and participated in many national projects, provincial projects and military projects. He published 53 SCI papers and applied for 15 patents. As the main work person, he won a third prize of Jiangsu Science and Technology Award, a second prize of Xuzhou Science and Technology Progress Award, and a Huaihai Science and Technology Progress Award. One of his papers was selected as "Top China Academic Journal Leaders 5000".
