On the morning of June 22nd, the Graduation Ceremony and Degree Awarding Ceremony of postgraduates of 2021 of Jiangsu Normal University was held in the gymnasium of Quanshan Campus. All the school leaders attended the ceremony. Members of the Academic Degree Assessment Committee, graduate students of 2021, representatives of graduate supervisors, relatives of graduate students and representatives of non-graduate students attended the ceremony. Professor Cen Hong, Vice Party Secretary of CPC JSNU Committee, presided over the ceremony.
At the commencement of the graduation ceremony, everyone stood up and sang the national anthem. President Zhou Ruguang, Chairman of the Academic Degree Assessment Committee and President of JSNU, delivered a speech at the ceremony. On behalf of all the teachers and staff of the university, he extended his sincere congratulations to the graduate students of 2021 for their successful completion of their studies. He also expressed his heartfelt thanks and high respect to the teachers and parents who have worked hard to cultivate and support the growth of the graduates.
Professor Liu Guangdeng, Vice Party Secretary of CPC JSNU Committee and Vice President of JSNU, announced the commendation decision of outstanding graduate students. School leaders awarded awards to outstanding graduate students. Professor Cai Guochun, Vice President and Vice Chairman of the Academic Degree Assessment Committee, read out the decision of degree awarding. School leaders and members of the Academic Degree Assessment Committee issued degree certificates to all the postgraduate students in 2021.
Professor Pan Tianbo from School of Media, Film and Television gave a speech as the representative of the graduate supervisor.
As the first deaf postgraduate student of sign language broadcasting and hosting in China, Liu Chengcheng from School of Linguistic Sciences and Arts delivered a speech on behalf of the graduate students in sign language, and Liu Kaiyi delivered oral translation.
The ceremony ended with the teachers and students singing the song “My Motherland and I”.
