October 16, the preliminary competition of table tennis event (university group) of the 14th National Student Sports Meeting of the People's Republic of China ended in Sichuan Culture and Art College (Zitong campus), including 7 events. According to the rules of the competition, the top 8 winners of each event will have the chance to join the final of table tennis event (university group) of the 14th National Student Sports Meeting of the PRC in Qingdao, Shandong Province in 2021.
JSNU is the organizing department of university table tennis team of Jiangsu. Zhang Yong, teacher from Institute of Physical Education of JSNU, is the coach of the women's table tennis team, and Fang Dongmei is the leader of the university table tennis team of Jiangsu.
After many days of fierce fighting, all the 7 events were successfully advanced to the last eight and entered the final of the 14th National Student Sports Meeting next year. Zhang Ziwei, is qualified for the finals of women's team, women's doubles, mixed doubles and women's singles; and Zhao Zirui is qualified for the finals of men's team, men's doubles and mixed doubles.
