Between February 26th and 27th, the faculty and students of JSNU started to return to the campus. And preparations for the new semester are also underway. On the morning of February 26th, Chair of the JSNU Committee, Professor Hua Guihong inspected the attendance of teachers and students, and visited several academies and students’ canteens to learn about their preparations for the new term. Prof. Hua was accompanied by officials from relevant departments in charge of the preparation work.

To begin with, Prof. Hua, along with other officials, came to the east gate of the university. They gave full recognition to security guards there for their strictly verifying health QR code and digital travel records, and implementing control measures in accordance with the college’s relevant regulations in real earnest. Prof. Hua noted, the access control was the first step of the pandemic prevention and control in our college, so security safeguards took on a big responsibility. They should rigorously observe the related rules, implement relevant pandemic prevention and control measures, and control the accesses. Prof. Hua also pointed out that staff members should pay heed to protect themselves while getting tasks efficiently done. On the nucleic acid testing and sampling spot, Prof. Hua expressed his concern and gratitude to staff there, and acknowledged the mass self-discipline of the faculty and students in nucleic acid testing. Later, the officials visited School of Mathematics and Statistics, School of Physics and Electronic Engineering and School of Arts. In each place, Prof. Hua inquired students in detail about their checking-in and learned much about each school’s preparation work for the new semester. As for the problems and needs raised by these schools, Prof. Hua asked officials in charge to take notes and make coordination and management. In the School of Physics and Electronic Engineering, the officials listened for students’ reports of the National Collegiate Challenge Cup project on site. In the School of Arts, they visited the new-built working places and learned some specific issues after the relocation. At last, they came to the student canteens and acquired detailed information about the dishes, pricing and services. Moreover, Prof. Hua had a cordial conversation with students having meals and listened to their feelings about classes resumption and suggestions for works of canteens and the college. Also, he urged students to take care of themselves through protective measures, study hard and become the backbone of our country and society in the near future.
