Training Objectives

To have a solid basic knowledge of international marketing, have proficiency in Chinese, can apply international marketing theories and methods to solve practical problems, can engage in market analysis and business management in enterprises, governments and non-profit organizations, or work in research institutions and schools to engage in related teaching and scientific research jobs, and prepare well for continuing study for Ph.D. in economics. The specific requirements are as follow:

1. TTo have solid basic international marketing theoretical knowledge, systematic professional knowledge and necessary practical skills to understand the academic dynamics in the field of international marketing research; master basic international marketing research methods and professional skills, have the ability and innovative spirit to independently carry out international marketing research, have high scientific research quality and professional quality, can be competent for positions in universities, enterprises, institutions and other units and departments.

Graduation Requirements

Graduate students have to meet the following basic requirements within the designated academic years so that they can graduate and get the certificate of graduation.

1 Obey laws and regulations in China and rules and regulations in the university, have a rigorous learning style and good personalities.

2 Complete the course study stipulated in the training program within designated academic years, pass the examinations and obtain the prescribed credits.

3 Pass Third Level Test of HSK.

4 The dissertation passes the evaluation and defense.

Introduction to the School of Business in Jiangsu Normal University

The School of Business in Jiangsu Normal University has always adhered to the principle of talent training as the center and employment-oriented, and actively promotes the reform of education and teaching, constantly improving the quality of personnel training. There are 1159 undergraduates, 152 graduates and 180 overseas students at present. Graduate students have got 108 projects for the training of graduate students in Jiangsu Province or schools, with more than 200 papers published and 9 national scholarships. Undergraduate students have won the silver award of 2016 "Creating Youth" National University Student Entrepreneurship Competition, first prize of the 9th College Student Career Planning Competition in Jiangsu Province, the first prize and the best creative award of the National Final of the 8th National University E-Commerce "Three-creation" Challenge Competition. During the "13th Five-Year Plan" period, the School of Business had five key teaching textbook projects in Jiangsu Province established, the all-English course "International Trade Theory and Practice" in 2019 was approved as "the provincial high-quality course of English teaching for foreign students in Jiangsu universities and colleges" which was selected for one of the first online display series in the website of Jiangsu English education. With good ideological and professional qualities, graduates are popular with employers and all sectors of society. The year-end employment rate is more than 97%.
