International trade master training unit was approved with the right to give master degree in 2011. It has recruited students since 2012, with three research directions: international trade, international investment, and international finance. There are 34 mentors in international economy and trade major at present, of which 3 are doctoral mentors and 34 are master mentors, 16 professors the number of which accounting for 47%, and 18 associate professors the number of which accounting for 52.94%. Teachers in this discipline have presided over 10 projects of the National Social Science Foundation, 5 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation, 13 projects of the Humanities and Social Sciences Fund of the Ministry of Education, 2 projects of national educational science planning, 2 projects of the provincial self-science, 16 projects of the provincial philosophy and social science fund, 2 projects of the provincial soft science project, and 18 scientific research funds of the provincial education department, with more than 400 million yuan of scientific research funds, as well as two topics of the National Development and Reform Commission and the National Audit Commission, one special project of Jiangsu Province Social Science Fund "18th National Congress", and one project of the state statistics scientific research plan since 2012. They have published more than 400 academic papers, including 11 in international journals such as SSCI and EI, more than 100 CSSCI papers and 8 academic monographs. They have also had 1 project awarded with the first prize of the provincial philosophy, humanities and social sciences achievements, 2 projects with second prize, 2 projects with third prize, and a number of Xuzhou City Philosophy and Social Science Achievement Awards.
