JSNU School of Life Sciences, National Sweet Potato Industrial Technology R&D Center and Shandong Lifeng Co., Ltd. held a signing and opening ceremony of “Program Serving National Special Demands Practice Base” at National Sweet Potato Advanced Science and Technology Industrial Park on November 13, 2018.

Research Fellow Ma Daifu, Chief Scientist of National Sweet Potato Industrial Technology System, Mr. Qi Jianbo, Vice Magistrate of Sishui County, Professor Li Zongyun, dean of JSNU School of Life Sciences, Mr. Kong Qingfu, General Manager of Sishui Lifeng Food Co., Ltd. and JSNU doctor candidates attended the opening ceremony.

At the beginning, Mr. Qi addressed a speech to express his welcome and introduce the geographical environment, district advantages, agricultural products and enterprises’ demands for science and technology achievements, speaking highly of the significance of the practice base.

Then, Professor Li briefed on the situation of JSNU, our faculty, discipline, advantages and the background, content, requirements and operation of “Program Serving National Special Demands”. She pointed out that, Sishui Lifeng Food Co., Ltd. as the biggest whole industry chain large-scale sweet potato food comprehensive process company had a National Sweet Potato Advanced Science and Technology Industrial Park to conduct sweet potato full use technology research and development, which made it an ideal place for “Program Serving National Special Demands Practice Base”. Sweet potato industry practice is an important part for serving national special demands because doctors could learn something that one could not find on books. The two sides had an excessive cooperative base. Therefore, she hoped that this could be a great opportunity for two sides to strengthen communication and deepen cooperation.

Mr. Kong introduced the development of their company and expressed that the company would heavily support the practice base.

At last, research fellow Ma and Mr. Kong signed cooperation agreement and then they unveil the brand of the base jointly with Professor Li.

Specific cooperative items were discussed after the conference among leaders and doctors.
